Park Winters Wedding Videographer

Park Winters is a historic country estate and inn just outside the town of Winters in Yolo County, California. The main house is an 1865 Victorian, set among formal gardens and lawns, with a white event barn, the Park Winters Flower Farm and overnight inn rooms on the property. That mix of history, gardens and open farmland gives every part of a wedding day its own look on film.

I'm Minh Pham, a wedding videographer based in Vacaville, in Solano County between Napa Valley and Sacramento on Interstate 80. There are no travel fees anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento or Yolo County, so a Park Winters wedding never carries a travel charge. My films are cinematic and story-first, documentary at heart: real vows, real toasts, real audio.

The Light at Park Winters

Around Winters the sun sets behind the hills to the west, so usable golden light ends earlier than the sunset time on your phone suggests. Summer afternoons are hot and bright, with no marine layer to soften them, so I keep midday portraits short and save the open sky shots for the last stretch of warm light.

The white barn works in your favor. Those walls bounce light like a giant softbox, which keeps faces soft and even when the sun is still strong. As evening comes, the Delta breeze cools things down, but it can also grab a veil and rattle a microphone, so I plan for it from the ceremony through the toasts.

Ceremony, Cocktails and Reception

The flow that films best here is simple: a lawn ceremony in late afternoon, cocktails in the gardens while the farmland goes gold, then the reception in the barn. Your guests move through the prettiest parts of the estate at the right time of day, and everyone heads inside right as the light fades.

Ceremony site options are set by the venue, so confirm what is available for your date, along with your timeline, with the Park Winters coordinator. Once you know where you will say your vows, I build the filming plan around that spot and the light it gets at your ceremony time.

Timeline Tips

Plan portraits for before the sun drops behind the western hills, not for the sunset time on your weather app. In June and July sunsets land after 8 PM, which usually means stepping out of dinner for ten minutes of portraits. In October the sunset falls right in cocktail hour, so portraits fit in while your guests enjoy a drink.

Ask your Park Winters coordinator about getting-ready space on site. For the vows I mic the couple under their clothing so the breeze never takes your words, and I scout in person before the day so the whole plan is set before you walk down the aisle.

Packages for Park Winters Weddings

My 2026 to 2027 packages are Package I at $2,700, Package II at $3,300 and Package III at $4,100, and most couples invest $3,000 to $5,000. Elopement films start at $2,500. Because Park Winters is in Yolo County, there is no travel fee on top, and any applicable sales tax is shown clearly on the invoice.

Wedding films are my focus, and photography is available too, with combined film and photo packages. If you have already hired a photographer, I work smoothly alongside them.

Park Winters Wedding Videography FAQs

Do you charge a travel fee for Park Winters weddings?

No. Park Winters is just outside the town of Winters in Yolo County, and there are no travel fees anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento or Yolo County. I'm based in Vacaville, in Solano County between Napa Valley and Sacramento on Interstate 80, so Yolo County weddings sit inside my home area. The price of your package is the price of your film, with nothing added for travel. If part of your celebration happens farther away, such as Carmel or Lake Tahoe, any travel for that part is spelled out in the quote up front, so there are no surprises.

How much does a Park Winters wedding videographer cost?

My 2026 to 2027 packages start at $2,700. Package I ($2,700) is 6 hours of coverage with 1 cinematographer, a 4 to 5 minute highlight film and 2 voiceover speeches. Package II ($3,300) is 7 hours with 1 to 2 cinematographers, a 5 to 7 minute highlight film, vertical edits for Instagram and TikTok and 3 voiceover speeches. Package III ($4,100) is all-day coverage with 1 to 3 cinematographers, a 6 to 10 minute highlight film, the full ceremony video, all voiceovers and raw footage delivered on a hard drive. Most couples invest $3,000 to $5,000. There is no travel fee for Park Winters, and any applicable sales tax is shown clearly on the invoice.

When is the best time for portraits at Park Winters?

Earlier than most couples expect. Around Winters the sun sets behind the hills to the west, so usable golden light ends before the sunset time on your phone. I plan portraits for the stretch before the sun drops behind those hills. In June and July sunsets land after 8 PM, so we usually step out of dinner for about ten minutes of portraits. In October the sunset falls in cocktail hour, which makes the timing easy. Summer afternoons are hot and bright, so I keep midday portraits short and save the open sky shots for the warm light. Once your date is set, I map the timing with you.

Can you fly a drone at Park Winters?

Aerial footage is included at no extra cost from me whenever the venue permits drone flights and the weather is safe. Drone rules are set by each venue, so please confirm with your Park Winters coordinator whether flights are allowed on your date and where. If the answer is yes, I work aerials of the estate and the surrounding farmland into your timeline. If drones are not permitted, or the wind or weather makes flying unsafe, the camera simply stays on the ground and your film tells the story without them. Either way, nothing about your package price changes.

How do you get clean audio for an outdoor ceremony at Park Winters?

Real vows and real toasts are the heart of my films, so audio gets as much care as the picture. The evening Delta breeze can grab a veil and rattle a microphone, so for the vows I mic the couple under their clothing, out of the wind. That keeps your words clear enough to weave through the highlight film as voiceover. Toasts and speeches at the reception are recorded too, and depending on your package two, three or all of them become voiceovers in your film. I scout in person before the day, so I know where you will stand and how the breeze moves.

How far ahead should we book a videographer for a Park Winters wedding?

As early as you can once your date is set. I film one wedding per day and only 20 to 25 weddings a year, and I'm often booked 1 to 2 years ahead. Summer and fall Saturdays fill first. If your date is closer than that, reach out anyway, because closer dates can still open up. Booking is simple: check your date through the inquiry form on this page, then we sign a contract, and a 30% retainer holds your date. The retainer is part of your package price, not an extra cost, and it is non-refundable because it holds the date for you.
